02What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple or Google: your name, email address and profile photo URL. If you choose to hide your email when signing in with Apple, we only receive Apple’s private relay address.
Information you enter
- Age, sex, height, weight, activity level and goal
- Dietary preferences, allergies and ingredients you avoid
- Cuisines you like
- Meals you log, water intake and weigh-ins
- Pantry items and shopping list
- Favourites, cooking history and recipe ratings
Photographs
When you photograph a label, your fridge or your plate, the image is processed only in order to recognise it. Photographs are not stored on our servers; they are discarded once processing finishes. The resulting text and nutrition values are saved to your account.
Automatically collected
Device type, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, crash reports and basic usage events.
Your location, contacts, Health app data and payment details never reach us. Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we do not see your card details.

Legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the service) and legitimate interests (fixing faults, preventing abuse). Information that constitutes health data — weight, height, goals — is processed with your consent; deleting your account withdraws that consent.
04Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. To operate the service we use:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, server functions. European Union servers.
- Google Gemini API — recipe generation and image recognition. Content sent is not used to train the model.
- RevenueCat — subscription state management.
- Apple — payments and authentication.
We may also disclose data to competent authorities where legally required.
05Where it is stored, and for how long
Data is held on servers within the European Union.
Your data is retained while your account is open. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently erased from our servers. Recipes you published remain in the catalogue but are unlinked from you (anonymised).
Crash and usage records are kept for at most 14 months.

You can delete your data yourself from within the App: Profile › Account › Delete account. For anything else, write to mehmetozay94@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days at the latest.
07Tracking permission
Declining does not disable any feature of the App.
The App asks for tracking permission on first launch. If you allow it, we use which recipes you open and cook to improve the quality of recommendations.
You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or from Profile › Preferences › Personalised recommendations inside the App.
08Children
The App is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group. If we become aware of such data, we delete it.
09Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the smallest number of people needed to run the service. No system is completely secure, however; in the event of a breach we will notify affected users and the competent authorities within the legally required timeframes.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you in the App of significant changes. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent update.
