The result doesn't look right
Restoration works from what is visible in the scan. A very small, very dark or heavily damaged area gives the model little to work with, and it will guess. Rescanning at a higher resolution, in even light and without glare, usually changes the outcome more than trying again.
Colours look wrong on an old photo
Colourisation infers plausible colour, not the original one. There is no record of what colour a 1950s dress actually was, so the model chooses what fits the scene. It will be believable, not necessarily accurate.
The Live Photo barely moves
That is intentional. The motion is small on purpose — a blink, the beginning of a smile. Large movement on a real face of someone you know looks wrong, and the app aims for something you would want to keep.
Processing failed or is stuck
Processing happens on a server, so it needs a connection throughout. If it fails, the credit is not consumed. Try again on a stable connection; if it keeps failing, write to us with the approximate time and we will look at the logs.
Credits and subscription
Credits are used per processed image. If a subscription is active, credits are granted with it. To manage or cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions — cancelling there stops the next renewal and access continues to the end of the paid period.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting a photograph or your account
Deleting an item from History removes it. Deleting your account removes everything stored for you. If you would rather ask, write and it will be done.
